Ariyoshi Sawako (1931-1984) was a successful writer born in Wakayama City. The Ariyoshi Sawako Memorial Museum is located close to her spiritual home- the beautiful jewel-blue toned Kinokawa River. This museum is a restoration of her residence in Tokyo, where she wrote all of her best-selling novels. You can learn about her entire life and have a chance to look into a rich but delicate soul here.
There is also a café on site, so you can enjoy lunch and tea.
