The large public bath, from which you can fully enjoy the scenic views of Wakanoura, and the Open-air bath (Rotemburo), with its fresh sea breeze, are both popular here. Located in Wakayama Marina City, the surrounding area has leisure facilities such as Porto Europe and Kuroshio Market.

Kishu Kuroshio Onsen is a modern onsen with indoor and outdoor baths that overlook the ocean. I’m a big fan of outdoor baths and it was wonderful to soak in the steaming water while feeling the cool ocean breeze on my shoulders. There’s also an indoor pool with wood-clad ceilings that suit the beachfront setting.
